Artist's Description
Aerial of the Sam Houston Monument in the Hermann Park, Houston, Texas – digital painting made from a photo where I made some small edits and I added painting texture. The Sam Houston Monument is an outdoor bronze sculpture of Sam Houston, constructed by Enrico Cerracchio in 1924, and installed at the northwest corner of Houston's Hermann Park. The equestrian statue depicts Sam Houston atop his horse, wearing military attire and a long cape, and is set on a gray granite arch.
