Cloud Gate sculpture, and a view to the Prudential Plaza and Aon Center behind it digital painting made from a photo where I made some changes and added a painting texture. Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor, located at Millennium Park in Chicago's Loop. Nicknamed "The Bean" for its distinctive shape, it was constructed between 2004 and 2006 and formally dedicated on May 15, 2006. Built from 168 seamless stainless steel plates, it measures 33 by 66 by 42 feet and weighs 110 short tons. Inspired by liquid mercury, its polished surface reflects and distorts the city skyline. Visitors can walk beneath its 12-foot arch and experience the "omphalos," a concave chamber that multiplies reflections. It remains one of Chicago's most popular tourist attractions.
