Description
Governor John Winthrop landing at Salem, Massachusetts Bay, June 12, 1630 – digital painting made from an old postacard where I made some AI inpainting, upscaling and I fixed the details. John Winthrop (1588 – 1649) was an English Puritan lawyer instrumental in establishing the Massachusetts Bay Colony, the second major settlement in New England after Plymouth Colony. Leading the initial wave of colonists from England in 1630, he governed the colony for 12 of its first 20 years.
