Description
Jerusalem artichoke, Helianthus tuberosus, yellow flowers – digital painting made from a photo where I made some small edits and I added oil painting texture. The painting depicts some beautiful yellow Jerusalem artichoke flowers against a stunning dark blue and green background. The flowers are bright and vibrant, with delicate petals and a subtle fragrance. The background is a deep, rich blue, with hints of green and purple, adding depth and contrast to the painting. The overall mood of the painting is cheerful and uplifting, evoking feelings of joy and happiness. The flowers are arranged in a loose, natural style, giving the painting a sense of spontaneity and freedom.
The Jerusalem artichoke is a species of sunflower native to central North America. It is cultivated for its tuber, which is used as a root vegetable. The plant grows to 1.5-3m tall with opposite leaves on the lower part of the stem and alternate leaves towards the top. The flowers are yellow and produced in capitate flowerheads, with 10-20 ray florets and 60 or more small disc florets. The tubers are elongated and uneven, with a crisp and crunchy texture when raw, and vary in color from pale brown to white, red, or purple.
