Description
Jesse Hall at the University of Missouri seen from the columns at sunset – digital painting made from a photo where I made some small edits and I added watercolor painting texture. Jesse Hall, previously known as New Academic Hall, serves as the primary administrative building for the University of Missouri. Its majestic dome has gracefully adorned the southern end of the David R. Francis Quadrangle since its construction in 1895. The David R. Francis Quadrangle holds a significant place in the history of the University of Missouri, nestled within the heart of Columbia, Missouri. Also known as "The Quad," it constitutes the oldest section of Red Campus and stands in close proximity to Downtown Columbia at the southern terminus of the Avenue of the Columns. At its focal point, you'll discover six splendid Ionic columns, which stand as the sole remnants of the original university edifice known as Academic Hall.
