Galium verum, also known as lady's bedstraw or yellow bedstraw, is a herbaceous perennial plant found across Europe, North Africa, and temperate Asia, and has been naturalized in other parts of the world. The plant has stiff stems growing up to 120 cm tall, with shiny dark green leaves that are hairy underneath and borne in whorls of 8-12. The flowers are small, yellow, and produced in dense clusters, and are sometimes confused with those of Galium odoratum, a species with culinary uses.
