Artist's Description
Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas – digital painting made from a photo where I made some small edits and I added painting texture. The Magnolia Silos are 120 feet tall, and were built in 1950 as part of the Brazos Valley Cotton Oil Company. The Brazos Valley Cotton Oil Mill Company closed in 1958, and the silos ceased to serve as storage in the 1990s. In 2015 they were brought back to life, not for grain storage but for a landmark anchor of the Magnolia Market.
