The Rio Grande Plaza, formerly the Hilton Hotel, is located on the banks of the Rio Grande, within a walking distance from the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge and has a view of the Rio Grande, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and downtown Laredo. It was built in 1975 and with its 15 floors is the tallest building in Laredo.
