Description

Salem Common Bandstand – digital painting made from a photo where I made some small edits and I added painting texture with vintage look. Constructed in 1926 to commemorate Salem's Tercentenary, the Salem Common Bandstand is a Colonial Revival-style structure by architect Philip Horton Smith. Its octagonal design features Roman Doric columns and a domed roof adorned with a pineapple, symbolizing hospitality. Named after Jean Missud in 1974, the bandstand underwent a restoration project in 2018, preserving its historical significance in Salem Common Historic District.
