Starry Night by Van Gogh digital recreation where I enhanced the contrasts and added a monochrome filter. Painted in 1889, The Starry Night captures the early morning sky as seen from the room of Vincent van Gogh at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. The sweeping clouds, glowing stars, and exaggerated cypress trees create a powerful sense of motion. The small village was added from imagination rather than direct observation. Although Van Gogh doubted the work, it later became one of the defining images of modern art. Since 1941, the painting has been part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
