Bedroom in Arles (French: La Chambre à Arles; Dutch: Slaapkamer te Arles) was painted by van Gogh in September 1889 and can be seen at Musée d'Orsay in Paris. The painting depicts van Gogh's bedroom at 2, Place Lamartine in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhône, France, known as the Yellow House. The Milkmaid (De Melkmeid or Het Melkmeisje), sometimes called The Kitchen Maid, is an oil-on-canvas painting of a "milkmaid", in fact, a domestic kitchen maid, by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer. The painting shows a milkmaid in a plain room carefully pouring milk into a squat earthenware container on a table. It was painted around the year 1658, and it can be seen in Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
