Medusa by Caravaggio – starry blue with yellow digital recreation of the original painting. Medusa was created by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio in 1597 and is located in the Uffizi Museum in Florence. The painting is depicting the exact moment she was executed by Perseus. Medusa is a monster described as a female woman with bronze hands and golden wings who had countless venomous snakes on her head in place of her own hair. In his painting, Caravaggio depicts a self-portrait of his own face in the place of Medusa's.
