Sketch for the City Rises by Umberto Boccioni - digital enhancement where I increased the contrast and I added vibrance to the colors of the original painting. The City Rises (La città che sale) is the first major Futurist work of the Italian painter Umberto Boccioni (1882 – 1916). Buildings in construction in a suburb can be seen with chimneys in the upper part, but most of the space is occupied by men and horses, melted together in a dynamic effort. Painted in 1910, it can be seen now at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
